Special Guest Teacher
Dina Vail is an institution in today's ballet world. Her name is respected by many, from The Houston Ballet right here in our own city to several ballet companies across the country; where her former students are now dancing professionally and/or teaching.
Ms. Dina, as her students lovingly call her, received her first ballet training from Barbara Weisberger, the founder of the Pennsylvania Ballet. She continued her studies at Jacob's Pillow and at the prestigious Juilliard Ballet School.
Since college, she has performed with many dance companies, including the Wilkes-Barre Ballet Theatre, the Tucson Civic Ballet, the Tucson Ballet Theatre, the Houston Contemporary Dance Theatre, New Dance Group and Theatre Under the Stars.
Teaching is probably what Ms. Dina is known best. She has been a ballet teacher and choreographer since the early 1960's; shaping the lives and careers of hundreds of ballet students, including our very own owner and director, Rachel Green ~ whose love and deep respect for Ms. Dina is beyond question..
We are extremely fortunate to have Ms. Dina graciously guest teach at The Studio of Tomball.
